Welcome to the Applied Science and Technology Magnet Program at Cobb Middle School! In the Magnet Program, students have access to rigorous advanced-level courses, hands-on learning, field trips, and a well rounded variety of STEM and arts electives. In 7th and 8th grade students have the opportunity to take high school credit math, science, and foreign language classes. Incoming 6th Grade Exploration Events

5th graders exploring their options can check out what Cobb has to offer during the following events:

Thursday, January 29th from 5:30- 6:30 pm: Rising 6th  Grade Hands-On Science and Curriculum Night
Check out everything going on at Cobb and get a big picture view of what middle school life is like. This event is for both parents and students. Ask questions, meet teachers, check out elective courses, and more!

Cobb Magnet Program 2026 Application

  • This application is for students interested in the Magnet Program for the 2026-2027 School Year. Students zoned or not zoned for Cobb can complete this application.
  • Students zoned for Cobb that would like to be part of the Magnet Program must complete the application.  
  • All applications are due by March 1, 2026.  
  • Current Magnet Program students do not need to reapply.
